South Australian government schools can now access the Internet using a new service called sa.edu. This has been established as part of the Department of Education, Training and Employment's (DETE) DECDtech 2001 Project to provide all DETE sites with the highest quality Internet access service available in Australia. This initiative has been provided as part of the South Australian government's commitment to technology.

As a major part of this service, every South Australian School will have their own site and the ability to create user accounts for every person in the school - teachers, students and support staff.
